Front Desk Officer

Lahore, Pakistan

We are seeking a well-organized and friendly Front Desk Officer to manage front office operations at our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing excellent service while efficiently handling administrative and clerical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using medical software.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain patient records, update information, and ensure confidentiality.
  • Collect payments, issue receipts, and manage billing or insurance forms if required.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth clinic or hospital operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  • Handle patient complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
  • Monitor waiting times and inform patients of any delays or changes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in administration or healthcare is a plus.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a receptionist or front desk role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and medical scheduling or billing software (e.g., EMR, HMS).
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Calm and professional demeanor, especially under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Experience with health insurance processes and billing.
  • Familiarity with patient management systems (e.g., Athena, Kareo, Practo, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs30,000.00 - Rs40,000.00 per month
