Full Charge Bookkeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Duties

  • Maintain and oversee the complete general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations regularly to ensure data accuracy
  • Process payroll using various accounting software platforms, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Handle tax-related tasks including preparation of tax filings, supporting audits, and maintaining relevant documentation
  • Utilize multiple accounting software tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Quicken, and other financial software to streamline bookkeeping operations
  • Perform budgeting activities, account analysis, and financial report writing to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards for non-profit or corporate entities as applicable
  • Assist with internal controls, audit preparations, and maintaining accurate records for external auditors

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of corporate or non-profit accounting practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Quicken, and other financial management tools
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP standards and double entry bookkeeping principles
  • Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting standards if applicable to the organization’s sector
  • Strong understanding of debits & credits, financial concepts, and technical accounting procedures
  • Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis
  • Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating across teams
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes and experience with payroll processing is highly desirable

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
