We're a small firm with remote clients - we offer bookkeeping, and business management.
We're understaffed and growing, so it's time to find some help.
We are hiring for a Full-Time position. Pay depends on your skills and experience (ie: your general awesomeness).
THE WORK:
We serve a lot of clients - different industries, sizes, personalities, and priorities. The ability to deal with multiple companies and projects will be important, both in the sense of having a lot of small tasks to juggle, and in the sense of working with different people who want things done different ways. We're a QuickBooks shop. We looking for people with Inventory experience.
This will be a permanent remote position.
Your day might include any of cash and accrual accounting, payroll (via payroll companies), HR (light), A/R, A/P, Cashflow analysis, sales tax, financial reporting, 1099s, budgeting, preparing or reviewing financial statements, worker's comp audits, reconciling accounts, special projects, or dealing directly with our client's clients, vendors, and staff. Oh, and we're big on QuickBooks.
It could also include psychoanalyzing our clients, talking them down off a ledge, explaining things they don't understand, and generally putting out all manner of fires and/or holding the ragged edges together.
This means you understand the accounts and numbers, but you're also good with people, communicate well verbally and in writing, are patient, don't fluster easily, and genuinely enjoy what you do.
Did I mention that we're big on QuickBooks?
YOUR SKILLS:
- You have decent internet, a dual monitor setup, fast computer, good antivirus and quiet space to work.
- You're a fine QuickBooks jockey. You are certified in QuickBooks Online. If not, you are required to pass certification within 2 weeks of employment.
- Karbonhq and bill.com experience is a plus. Certification in both is a plus plus. If you’re not certified you will be required to pass certifications for both within 4 weeks of hiring. (Hint **Hightlight Karbonhq and Bill.com experience**)
- You know Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- You know your way around a PC pretty well and won't make our network guy cry.
- You know everyone (yes, even you) makes mistakes, so you double-check, proof, and verify - yourself routinely.
- You have a degree in accounting. Otherwise, you have some related degree and a lot of amazing experience.
- You are motivated to get things done.
- You get stuff done on time and under budget. (We really need people get their work done timely, it’s not enough to get it done, it has to be done on time, recorded in our practice management system and within budget.)
- People enjoy working with you. Your personality may have been previously described as fluffy.
- You can pass a standard background check.
- You may have 3 years experience with multiple clients.
- You have inventory experience.
