Full Charge Bookkeeper

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial records, preparing detailed reports, and supporting strategic decision-making through precise bookkeeping and accounting practices. Duties

  • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial data
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify account accuracy
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accurate employee compensation records
  • Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other financial tools to streamline operations
  • Support budgeting processes by analyzing expenses and assisting in financial planning efforts
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all transactions and ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements
  • Assist with governmental accounting procedures and tax preparation activities as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper or similar role within corporate or non-profit organizations
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other relevant platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP standards and double-entry bookkeeping principles
  • Experience with bank reconciliation, account analysis, journal entries, and general ledger management
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting practices and tax regulations is preferred
  • Excellent understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, account reconciliation, and financial report writing
  • Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external auditors
