Company Overview

Established in 2009 – GMCO have fostered a discovery led approach to mine development – since its formation the company has made two major discoveries at Jabal Qutman (Gold) and in the Wadi Bidah (Copper-Gold VMS) which are now moving through Feasibility assessment, as well as several smaller discoveries across its licence portfolio. GMCO operates across one of the largest Exploration land packages in Saudi Arabia with access to over 2200km² of ground across 29 Exploration licences – a further 275km² (Four licences) are shortly to be issued following the conclusion of the latest MIM Round 9 bidding process.

Job Summary

The GL Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate general ledger records, ensuring timely month-end close, and supporting financial reporting processes. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA

Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).

Skills And Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting or financial reporting.

Experience in journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.

Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).

Strong accounting experience within mining, construction, and costing industries.
