General Manager

Job Overview
Modern Bread and Bagel is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management and Food service, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee operations, manage staff, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and service quality.

Duties

• Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations, including interviewing potential candidates.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance service quality.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to create menus that reflect current trends in fine dining and casual dining.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage catering services to meet customer demands.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high morale among staff.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hospitality management or a similar role within the food service industry.
• Strong knowledge of food management practices, food safety standards, and handling procedures.
• Experience in catering services is a plus.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with bartending practices is advantageous but not required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
