Forno Osteria and Bar Montgomery
Forno Osteria and Bar Montgomery is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations, drive financial performance, and cultivate an exceptional guest experience. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all front- and back-of-house operations, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring the restaurant consistently delivers outstanding Italian cuisine and hospitality.
This role requires a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong business acumen, and is passionate about hospitality excellence.
Recruit, hire, train, and mentor managers and hourly team members
Foster a positive, accountable, and service-driven culture
Lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and energy
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development
Ensure proper staffing levels to meet business demands
Oversee all daily restaurant operations (FOH & BOH)
Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and service
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Monitor and improve operational efficiency and workflow
Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
Manage P&L performance, budgeting, and forecasting
Control labor costs, food costs, and operating expenses
Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to drive revenue growth
Ensure accurate cash handling and inventory management
Develop and execute local marketing and community engagement initiatives
Ensure exceptional hospitality and memorable dining experiences
Maintain brand standards in ambiance, cleanliness, and service
Build strong relationships with guests and the local community
Monitor and respond to guest feedback and online reviews
5+ years of restaurant management experience, with at least 2 years as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager
Proven track record of achieving financial and operational goals
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience managing high-volume, full-service restaurants
Knowledge of food safety standards and local regulations
Proficiency in POS systems, scheduling software, and financial reporting tools
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Experience in upscale casual or Italian dining concepts
Background in bar operations and beverage program management
Strong community presence and local market knowledge
