General Manager - Operations (Night Shift)

The General Manager – Operations will lead and manage the full spectrum of operations that support US-based retail operations from Karachi. This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong “Customer First” mindset and a “Can Do” attitude. The GM will be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing large cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless coordination across functions in a fast-paced night-shift environment.

The scope of operations covers Administration, IT Support, Supply Chain Management, and Finance, serving multiple business entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily operations to maximize team productivity and efficiency.
• Develop, refine, and implement operational policies and procedures aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate with US-based leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination and alignment.
• Track and analyze KPIs, identify gaps, and drive corrective measures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Anticipate and resolve operational challenges with proactive risk management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and coach managers and team leads to strengthen leadership capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience across diverse operational functions.
• Proven ability to lead large teams in a night-shift environment.
• Strong background in business operations with hands-on knowledge of ERP systems, POS platforms, and office applications.
• MBA (Finance or Management) or equivalent advanced degree from a recognized institution.
• Exceptional English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High integrity, professionalism, and leadership presence.
• Prior experience working with US-based or international teams is highly preferred.
