Expected pay for this position is $27.26 - $32.06/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Gig Radiology Technologist Care Guide is responsible for registering, collecting payments, rooming, assisting the provider with care and treatment, discharging, and following-up with patients. Similar to a gig model, the Care Guide will be able to control flexibility of preferred shifts/locations and create a schedule that work for them. There is no minimum number of hours needed to work but it is limited to less than 30 hours per week. The Gig Care Guide will be paid an hourly rate on regular pay dates. It is the role of the Gig Care Guide to companion patients and their “secondary guests" through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and maximize the patient experience; before, during, and after the patient visit. The Gig Care Guide is responsible for assisting the provider with front office and back office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis. This position has access to open shifts or shift portions, with a limit of 30 hours per week. Additionally, the Gig Care Guide is responsible for a variety of clinical functions within a clinic setting requiring knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude. Acting as the patient advocate, the Gig Care Guide has continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families and significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Licenses/Certifications:
- Licensed with IEMA ARRt (R) registry eligible
- Must complete ARRT registry within 6 months of hire
- American Heart Association BLS
Other:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.;
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with an electronic health record and phlebotomy.
- Knowledge of urgent care medical specialty Knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of Epic Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
