Pay Range: $13.50 - $14 /per hour
The Gold Country Hotel Front Desk performs a variety of duties for guests of hotel. Operates PBX and answers all incoming calls and transfers calls to the appropriate department. Enters all reservations/cancellations and follows through on any changes requested by guest. Registers and assigns rooms to guests, issues rooms keys, computes bill and collects payment for stay. Answers all guest inquiries to the best of your ability.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide superior guest service, positively affects interactions with external and internal guests and team members; has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers.
- Check guests in/out of hotel.
- Issue room keys and collect payment for room.
- Responsible for shift paperwork and Front Desk bank.
- Assist guests with any questions and address concerns.
- Use PBX Phone System.
- Responsible for communicating using radio equipment with Security, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Slot Department and the shuttle.
- Answer all incoming calls and transfer to the correct departments.
- Enter reservations and cancellations as requested by guests.
- Set up wake up calls for guests.
- Performs related and/or other duties as required.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, in-house groups and other situations affecting the reception desk’s.
- Set/Reset Pin numbers for Player club card accounts.
Requirements:
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Be able to read, write and typing skills.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must be 21 years or older and obtain a Nevada Gaming license.
- AML Training
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull loads up to 40 pounds.
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
