Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee recruitment and selection for academic (faculty, researchers) and non-academic (administrative, technical, clinical) positions.
- Partner with departmental heads to forecast staffing needs in academic and hospital settings.
- Ensure credentialing and background verification processes meet regulatory standards.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and grievance redressal.
- Promote a professional and inclusive work culture aligned with academic values.
- Plan and implement employee engagement, wellness, and recognition programs.
3. HR Policy & Compliance
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies in line with national labor laws, university statutes, and medical council requirements.
- Ensure adherence to HR and employment standards specific to medical education and healthcare institutions.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and accreditation processes.
4. Performance Management & Faculty Appraisals
- Coordinate annual performance review processes for faculty and staff.
- Assist academic leadership in evaluating teaching, research, and clinical contributions.
- Implement improvement plans and support professional development initiatives.
5. Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Oversee salary processing, benefits administration, and leave management.
- Ensure accurate documentation for government benefits, tax filings, and insurance coverage.
- Address payroll-related queries promptly.
6. Training & Development
- Identify training needs for academic, clinical, and administrative personnel.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and capacity-building programs in collaboration with internal departments and external experts.
- Monitor effectiveness and ROI of training programs.
7. Strategic HR Initiatives
- Support leadership in organizational development, succession planning, and faculty retention strategies.
- Assist in institutional accreditations by managing HR-related documentation and compliance reports.
- Foster collaboration between academic and hospital HR needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a healthcare or higher education environment (medical sector preferred).
- Sound knowledge of labor laws, healthcare HR compliance, and university governance structures.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in HR software systems (e.g., HRMS, payroll tools).
