RivetStays is a premium short- and mid-term rental operator. We deliver a hotel-like experience with professionally managed homes and a strong focus on guest experience, consistency, and operational excellence. We’re building a direct booking channel that can become a meaningful share of our business alongside OTAs.
What this role is
You’ll own the marketing function end-to-end with a clear scoreboard: direct booking revenue and conversion.
Your mission is to turn paid + organic demand into a durable direct booking channel—by owning the full system: acquisition → site conversion → lifecycle/retention.
What you’ll own
Direct bookings (primary outcome)
- Grow direct booking revenue and booking volume with an efficiency lens (CAC/MER/payback).
- Build a repeatable weekly operating cadence that drives results.
Acquisition (paid + organic)
- Paid media strategy + execution/management (search + social; prospecting + retargeting).
- SEO strategy (site architecture, high-intent content plan, technical priorities; hands-on or via contractors).
- Positioning and messaging that converts high-intent travelers (not generic brand fluff).
Conversion rate optimization (CRO)
- Own the website booking funnel: landing → property page → checkout → confirmation.
- Run ongoing experimentation: landing pages, messaging, offers, UX, trust signals, pricing/fees clarity, FAQs.
- Partner with ops/product to remove booking friction and improve close rate.
Lifecycle (make direct a channel, not a one-time sale)
- Email/SMS strategy: abandon/browse, pre-stay, post-stay, winback, referral.
- Increase repeat booking rate and lifetime value.
Brand + content (in service of bookings)
- Ensure RivetStays’ brand and creative system builds trust quickly and improves conversion.
- Set standards for property merchandising: copy, photo requirements, social proof, and clarity.
People, vendors, systems
- Manage agencies/freelancers and create lightweight systems for reporting, experimentation, and creative/landing page iteration.
How you’ll be measured
- Direct booking revenue + booking count (net of cancellations)
- Conversion rate (overall + key funnel steps)
- CAC / MER / payback (or contribution margin after marketing)
- Direct share of total bookings vs OTAs
- Organic growth on high-intent searches and conversion of that traffic
- Repeat booking rate / lifecycle revenue
What we’re looking for (3+ years)
3+ years owning performance-oriented marketing outcomes; hospitality/travel strongly preferred.
- Strong with paid acquisition and serious about CRO/funnel analytics.
- Comfortable owning the whole function (prioritization, vendors, reporting) while still operating hands-on.
- Commercial mindset: you optimize for bookings and efficiency, not just traffic.
