Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and exceptional service from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as you will be responsible for managing guest flow and creating a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly upon arrival with a friendly demeanor.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
• Provide menus and inform guests of specials or promotions.
• Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with grace and professionalism, aiming for resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
• Assist in training new staff members on guest services and operational procedures.

Experience

• Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for food service and creating memorable experiences for guests is highly valued.

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
