Hotel Front Office Receptionist/Reservation

The Hotel Front Office / Reservation Agent is responsible for providing a warm welcome to guests, managing reservations, handling check-ins and check-outs, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay for all guests. This role combines guest-facing front desk duties with behind-the-scenes reservation tasks to ensure seamless service and optimal occupancy.

Key Responsibilities: Front Office Duties

  • Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Manage room assignments and issue room keys.
  • Provide guests with hotel and local information.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate billing records.
  • Maintain an organized front desk area and update guest records in the PMS.

Reservation Duties:

  • Handle incoming reservations via phone, email, and online booking channels.
  • Enter and update reservation details accurately in the system.
  • Confirm, modify, or cancel bookings as requested.
  • Monitor room availability and ensure accurate inventory control.
  • Apply appropriate rates, packages, and promotions.
  • Communicate with travel agents, OTA partners, and corporate clients.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly occupancy and forecast reports.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a hotel front desk or reservation role (3-4 years preferred)
  • Familiarity with Hotel Reservation Systems (e.g., Opera, WishNet, Cloudbeds, ProLogic)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and reservation software
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays

Education & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is an advantage)
  • Formal training or certification in hospitality/customer service is an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sharjah: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
