Responsibilities:
- Actively involved in the revision and creation of MHS policies to ensure compliance with State and Federal laws.

Advises managers, directors, and staff on human resource policies, practices, and procedures, providing options for resolving employee issues/concerns, under the guidance of the Sr HR Business Partner.

Lead Exit Interviewing Organization project. Conduct, document and work with appropriate team members on findings.

Lead 30, 60, 90 Day Organizational project Conduct, document and work with appropriate team members on findings.

Completes all Unemployment claims in a timely manor. Act as a back-up for telephonic unemployment hearings

Review and enter and approve all terms in HRIS system place in Employee File

Completes time related audit and investigations. Makes recommendations to management regarding solutions that are aligned with Mercy Mission.

Refers employee to EAP, as appropriate. Follows up with appropriate referral documentation. Ensures all proper documentation is recorded and scanned into our databases.

Ensures the Employee Relations log and files to track discussions and status of issue resolution is maintained as well as the employee case files on issues. Ensures the EEOC log to track cases and status of cases is maintained.

Serves as contact person for Employee Health for matters related to, but not limited to, fitness for duty examinations and drug/alcohol testing.

Create presentations and training for staff and managers on HR policies, applicable laws and regulations.

Train as back up for New Hire Orientation

Prepares for and participates in weekly Employee Relations huddle. Prepares agenda for group to review cases. Updates team on issues and solicits feedback when necessary.

Coordinates gathering and copying of information needed for any subpoenas required. Attends worker's compensation, unemployment and EEO hearings as a Mercy representative.

Processes EEOC complaints to the proper people and assists with gathering information for legal counsel to submit position statements.

Assists with gathering of information for reports (e.g. turnover). Recognize organizational trending to include; employee relations, turnover, etc.

Serves as a back-up for the Sr HR Business Partner. Assists with special projects and assignments as needed.

Adheres to all federal and state laws regarding employment and labor law. Adheres to all JC requirements and standards.

Participates in HR-sponsored employee events and other HR functions, as needed.

Collaborate with Learning & Development team to ensure licensure and certification issues are handled properly.

Assists Parking with issues that arise due to nonpayment and counsels staff regarding parking privileges. If parking privileges continue to be abused, will provide corrective action to the impacted employee.

Provide coverage to the Front Desk as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Human Relations, or a related field

5-7 years of employee relations experience

Healthcare experience preferred
-
PHR certification preferred
Min: USD $28.62/Hr. Max: USD $47.22/Hr. Benefits:
