Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Coordinator & Recruiter with experience in Home Health, Hospice, or Healthcare to join our growing team. This role plays a key part in supporting our HR operations and ensuring the recruitment and onboarding of qualified, compassionate clinical and administrative professionals.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of healthcare staffing, compliance requirements, and a passion for supporting employees in a mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for clinical and non-clinical positions, including posting jobs, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, and extending offers.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified nurses, therapists, aides, and administrative staff.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Conduct background checks, reference verifications, and credentialing documentation per state and federal healthcare regulations.
HR Coordination & Employee Support
- Assist with new hire onboarding, ensuring all documentation, licensing, and training requirements are completed.
- Maintain accurate employee files and HRIS data in compliance with HIPAA and agency standards.
- Support employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives.
- Coordinate benefits enrollment, performance reviews, and policy updates as needed.
- Assist with employee relations matters and ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure HR policies and procedures align with federal, state, and accrediting body requirements (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission, state home health regulations).
- Support audits and surveys by maintaining organized and compliant HR documentation.
- Track and report on key HR and recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, turnover, and retention.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of HR or recruiting experience, ideally in Home Health, Hospice, or Healthcare settings.
- Experience recruiting for clinical roles (RNs, LVNs, PTs, HHAs, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of:
- HR best practices, healthcare credentialing, and regulatory compliance.
- ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), HRIS platforms, and onboarding systems.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking ability.
- High attention to detail and professionalism in handling confidential information.
