Job Summary


The Human Resources Generalist will provide administrative support to the site's Human Resources Department and its functions, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits, training, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, and general employment records. Facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs to ensure compliance. Provides internal support and partnership to deliver on human resources requirements at the plant level. Coordinates with other human resources team members to process employment, attendance, and other records.


Job Location


  • This is an onsite role based at our Bulls Gap, TN site.


Job Responsibilities


  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business.


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in human resources, business, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of principles and processes of human resources function.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Proven success working in an HR Department.
  • Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) Preferred
