Job Summary:

ABODE School is looking for an HR Head who will lead the Human Resources function of the school, ensuring smooth HR operations, regulatory compliance, and a positive work culture. The role demands strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of HR processes within an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies for teaching and non-teaching positions.
  • Coordinate end-to-end hiring: job posting, screening, interviewing, final selection, and onboarding.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline and maintain a database of qualified candidates.
  • Ensure timely hiring for academic sessions.
  • Maintain employee records in line with statutory requirements.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Assist the accounts team with payroll inputs: attendance, leave, increments, deductions, and settlements.
  • Oversee employee benefits, medical leaves, reimbursements, and staff welfare programs.
  • Ensure accurate attendance tracking (biometric/manual).
  • Manage leave policies, approvals, and record-keeping.

Onboarding & Exit Management

  • Conduct orientation programs for new employees.
  • Prepare offer letters, appointment letters, and HR documentation.
  • Ensure smooth exit processes including clearance, handover, and final settlement.
  • Work closely with management on manpower planning and organisational development.
  • Provide HR insights for decision-making and contribute to long-term growth strategies.
  • Ensure strong alignment between HR practices and the school’s vision, mission, and values.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in HR / MBA (HR) or equivalent.
  • 7–15 years of experience, preferably in the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR documentation, and educational institution norms.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
