Position Overview:
The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes within the retail environment. She will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and employee engagement, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for retail and corporate positions.
- Partner with store managers to identify manpower requirements and talent gaps.
- Ensure smooth onboarding, induction, and orientation for new employees.
2. Employee Relations
- Build strong relationships across all levels of staff.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution professionally.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive work culture.
3. Performance Management
- Implement and monitor performance appraisal systems.
- Coach and guide line managers on employee performance issues.
- Support in setting KPIs and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
4. Training & Development
- Identify training needs in retail operations, sales, and customer service.
- Coordinate training programs for employee skill enhancement and compliance.
- Maintain training records and measure effectiveness.
5. HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Manage payroll inputs, attendance, and leave management.
6. Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Design and execute engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building activities.
- Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the organization.
- Support CSR and community outreach activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification (preferred).
- Proven experience in HR management within the retail or service industry.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple retail locations and teams.
