Job Description:Job Title: Sr Executive HR - Compliance and Operations - Mumbai
To support and ensure end-to-end statutory, payroll, and HR compliance for a Public
Limited Pharmaceutical Company operating in Mumbai, Maharashtra, while handling
core HR operations, audits, inspections, and employee lifecycle processes in a legally
compliant and audit-ready manner.
Job Responsibility
A. Statutory & Labour Law Compliance (Primary Focus)
? Manage day-to-day compliance under EPF, ESIC, Professional Tax, MLWF, and applicable labour laws
? Ensure compliance with Maharashtra Shops & Establishments Act and other central labour statutes
? Support handling of labour inspections, audits, notices, and correspondence with EPFO, ESIC, and Labour Department
? Maintain and update statutory registers, returns, challans, and compliance trackers
? Support the lawful implementation of wage deductions, loss recovery, attendance, and leave practices
? Assist in drafting and maintaining HR policies, SOPs, and disciplinary documentation
? Ensure compliance during essential services situations, elections, or special statutory notifications
B. Payroll & Compensation
? Manage and coordinate the entire payroll process in compliance with statutory requirements
? Ensure accurate calculation and timely deposit of statutory contributions and deductions
? Support Full & Final settlements, adjustments, and statutory reconciliations
? Coordinate with payroll vendors / internal finance teams
C. HR Operations & Employee Relations
? Act as a bridge between management and employees, addressing HR queries, grievances, and compliance-related concerns
? Support recruitment and selection processes (coordination, documentation, and onboarding compliance)
? Assist in the implementation and monitoring of training programs
? Support the creation of a positive, compliant, and disciplined work environment
D. Reporting, HR Metrics & Systems
? Prepare HR and compliance reports, dashboards, and MIS for management review
? Track compliance KPIs and support audit readiness
? Maintain employee data on HR systems / HRMS
(Exposure to cloud-based HRMS such as Zoho is an added advantage)Key Skills:Mandatory:
5-8 years of hands-on HR experience with strong exposure to statutory compliance and payroll
Target Industry: Pharma/Chemicals (Preferred)

Working Days: 6 days (all Saturday half days)
Qualification: Degree / Diploma in Human Resource Management, Law, Commerce, or Management
Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
