The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources (HR) department while coordinating the Credit Union’s corporate employee wellness program and related initiatives. This role supports employee engagement and well-being by serving as a point of contact for wellness program-related inquiries and assisting with wellness program communications and activities, while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and a high level of service to internal team members.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the employee wellness program
- Coordinate and administer employee wellness initiatives, including planning, execution, and follow-up (i.e. health screenings, lunch n’ learns, blood drives, champion meetings, etc)
- Coordinate and distribute wellness communications (via intranet or other internal communication methods) to departmental/branch wellness champions
- Establish relationships with internal departments, branches, and groups to help promote employee participation in the wellness program
- Assist with communications between employees and third-party wellness coordinator regarding wellness program questions and problem resolution
- Track wellness program metrics (participation, engagement, etc…) and prepare data summary for HR leadership monthly
- Provide administrative support to the HR team by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; maintaining equipment and supplies
- Respond to routine employee inquiries independently and escalate sensitive or complex matters when appropriate
- Monitor the HR Help Desk for incoming requests and assist with resolving or routing tickets to the appropriate HR team member as needed
- Collect necessary information and prepare documents for new employee orientation
- Assist with maintaining the integrity of employee personnel files and other records while adhering to the Credit Union’s retention policy
- Facilitate dual control for generalists by auditing payroll each pay period
- Assist in the administration of HR systems (i.e. peer-to-peer recognition platform, emergency communications platform, calendars, intranet, etc)
- Prepare and scan employee documents into the imaging system
- Assist in the coordination of employee events
- Complete all required annual compliance training as required by the Credit Union
- Schedule and conduct individual dialogs with direct manager monthly
- Assist with departmental projects and initiatives
- Participate in external credit union-sponsored activities and community/education events to increase credit union awareness
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent required
- One-year clerical experience preferred
- One-year HR experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, track deadlines, and maintain organized and confidential records
- Detail-oriented in order to provide accurate, relevant, and timely information to internal and external partners
- Ability to communicate effectively and frequently verbally and in writing to members and employees using a variety of platforms
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to adapt to change
- Willingness to assume responsibility and exhibit excellent problem-solving/research abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must have the ability/stamina to work at least 40 hours a week
- Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate, and key in data
- Must be able to communicate through telephone, e-mail, and in-person communications
- Must be able to engage in problem-solving skills to help identify and solve potential issues in the field
- Any situations outside A+FCU policies and procedures
