Position Title: HSE Engineer
1. Job Purpose
To ensure effective implementation of the company’s HSE Management System on project sites and compliance with ADNOC’s codes of practice, legal requirements, and international standards. The HSE Engineer is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, minimizing risks, and driving continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the company’s HSE Management System in line with ADNOC requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, job safety analysis (JSA), and ensure effective control measures are in place.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations using approved investigation techniques and prepare detailed reports.
- Participate in internal and external HSE audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Deliver HSE induction and training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with HSE standards, procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure preparedness for potential incidents.
- Maintain HSE documentation, including reports, checklists, and statistics, in accordance with ADNOC and company requirements.
- Liaise with project management, client representatives, and subcontractors to promote proactive HSE engagement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for enhancing HSE performance.
3. Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, or HSE discipline from a recognized institution.
- Professional Certifications (Minimum one required):
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent (subject to ADNOC approval).
- Other ADNOC-approved HSE certifications (as applicable).
- Mandatory Certifications:
- Lead Auditor – ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems) and/or ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) or equivalent.
- Incident Investigation Techniques certification.
- Additional Certifications (Preferred):
- Fire Safety, First Aid, Scaffolding Inspection, Confined Space Entry, or other relevant HSE trainings.4. Experience
- 8–10 years of relevant HSE experience in construction, fabrication, installation, and/or commissioning projects within the oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
- Demonstrated experience in ADNOC or similar major client projects is an advantage.
- Previous ADNOC approval (if applicable) should be provided.

- Completed ADNOC Interview Form
- CV in KENT format
- Copies of educational certificates and professional certifications
- Experience letters from all previous employers
- Previous ADNOC approvals (if applicable)
- NEBOSH verification confirmation
- Copy of Passport and Emirates ID
