HSE Inspector from Construction Background

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that safety policies and procedures are correctly followed by the employees and subcontractors.
• Schedule and carry out periodic inspections (schedule / unscheduled) of the site to affirm compliance with the site HSE plan. Prepare periodic inspection and validate corrective actions proposed and implemented by the project team.
• Ensure a safe work environment by overseeing the inspection and maintenance of equipment. Inspection of plants, machinery equipment and up‐keeping of records.
• Maintaining QHSE Training records and their statistics
• Conduct OHS Risk Assessments specific to the method statements, workplace assessments, generic/specific risk assessments machinery and equipment’s operations and maintenance activities ETC
• Safety induction training to the workers and Subcontractors
• Monitor toll box talks conducted at work site and provide materials pertaining to HSE discussed in the toolbox meeting.
• Monitor housekeeping program and report to site management to consistently improve standard.
• To conduct contract specific Environmental monitoring programs and records to be maintained.
• To conduct COSHH assessments for all hazardous substances
• Implement new employee onboarding processes focused on safety and health management.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure the implementation of applicable safety measures at the site to fully meet legal, HPS, and client requirements
• Train emergency team members and conduct emergency evacuation drills at scheduled intervals.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the permit-to-work system and compliance levels.
• Implement effective waste management systems and reduction measures and project-specific environmental monitoring programs
• Conduct HSE toolbox talks and support and monitor and ensure that daily/weekly toolbox talks are effectively conducted at respective project locations at regular intervals and maintain the employees' toolbox talk records.
• Ensure all emergency- related plans and procedures are in place and reviewed and updated at regular intervals.
• Monitor and trace all PPE for employees and provide advice for orders when necessary.
• Recommend processes and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to work hazards.
• Investigation of all incidents and near-misses.
• Prepare report of findings, including recommendations to prevent recurrence and implement an approved course of action.
• Periodic inspections of staff accommodation, preparation of reports, and advice to the camp in-charge to ensure compliance levels

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
