HSE Officer

Job Summary:
As an HSE Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and practices within the company. You will ensure that the workplace complies with safety regulations and standards, and that all employees are trained on the necessary safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, enforce, and continuously monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices at all project sites to ensure full compliance with company and client requirements.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and task-specific risk assessments to identify hazards, unsafe acts, or conditions and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Prepare, update, and maintain all HSE documentation including risk assessments, method statements, inspection reports, incident records, and monthly HSE performance summaries in line with standards.
• Lead and participate in incident and near-miss investigations, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate and manage the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system.
• Deliver comprehensive safety inductions, refresher training, and awareness programs for employees, subcontractors, and visitors to reinforce a culture of safety and accountability.
• Liaise closely with clients, subcontractors, and UAE regulatory authorities (e.g., DM, DCD, MOHRE) to ensure compliance with statutory HSE regulations and project-specific standards.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through regular engagement, behavioral safety initiatives, and continuous improvement of HSE performance across all operations.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure timely implementation of corrective / preventive actions.
• Coordinate and manage the permit-to-work systems
• Deliver safety inductions, refresher training, and awareness sessions for employees and subcontractors.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with UAE HSE requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in FM.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, etc.) is a plus

Should have very good communication skill and fluency in English.

UAE driving license is required.
