Entry-Level HR Assistant / Receptionist

Summary:

Cassin & Cassin LLP is a prominent law firm that has over three decades of experience providing the highest quality of service to our clients. The Firm specializes in commercial real estate transactions, representing lending institutions, investment funds, and small to medium-size companies in all aspects of real estate including financing, buying, selling, leasing and development.

We are currently seeking a full-time HR Assistant/ Receptionist to be based in our NY, NY office. This entry-level HR Assistant / Receptionist role blends front‑desk responsibilities with foundational HR support, offering exposure to the operations of a high‑performing law firm. You will serve as the first point of contact for clients, attorneys, and candidates, while assisting the HR Director with daily administrative tasks. Job responsibilities include;

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients, visitors, and staff with professional demeanor;
  • Manage the reception area, including answering phones, routing calls, and coordinating conference room schedules;
  • Support HR with administrative tasks such as daily attendance, preparing onboarding materials, and updating internal databases;
  • Assist with interview scheduling, and candidate communication;
  • Prepare and organize confidential documents with accuracy and discretion;
  • Coordinate incoming/outgoing mail, courier services, and document deliveries;
  • Assist with firm events, training, ordering lunches and other employee initiatives; and
  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards in handling sensitive employee and client information.

Qualifications;

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Psychology, Communications, or related field preferred;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a polished and professional presence;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong interest in the human resources field;
  • Above average proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to manage confidential information; and
  • A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering high‑quality service.
