Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our Mote team. The HR Generalist will work closely with the CHRO and HR Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to develop and implement HR processes and systems to improve HR deliverables. This is a contract position that could lead to a regular full time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Management: Administer recruitment efforts, including the process of supporting managers in all aspects of the employment cycle. Concentrate on efficiency of the process. Utilize select external advertisement platforms. Screen resumes and ensure selection criteria and interview procedures are compliant with Mote values and mission. Develop a diversity plan for staffing as appropriate. Conduct training for employees involved in selection. Manage reference and background checks. Oversee onboarding new employees. Maintain metrics for retention and turnover. Manage I9 process.
  • Employee Administration and Support: Point of contact for employees for general HR questions. Handle queries and administration tasks. Back up payroll administrator and answer questions and address issues related to employee data. Support benefits administrator and answer and address issues that arise. Maintain employee records and files.
  • Culture and Engagement: Champion initiatives with CHRO that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture, enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Along with CHRO, the BP ensures compliance with local, state, federal laws and regulations.
  • Generalist Activities: Support the HR team and CHRO in initiatives to build relationships across the organization including special initiatives and programs. Support development and delivery of training. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in HR roles, with at least 3 years in recruiting as business partner or similar capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in talent management and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Able to manage change effectively
  • SHRM-CP certification is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in full cycle recruitment.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy work environment.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Flexible and willing to learn and take initiative on a variety of tasks and projects.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in stationary position approximately 40% of the time. Must be able to operate a computer and exchange accurate information with others.

Work Environment:

The work environment is an open office concept to promote teamwork. Regular work hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm weekdays. Overtime may be necessary to complete the job from time to time.
