HR Generalist

Reports to: Cheyenne Casey, Human Resource Manager

Enterprise Electrical is a fast-growing Commercial Electrical Contractor based in Houston, TX that specializes in Design-Build projects, and we are looking to add an HR Generalist to our HR Team.

The best fit will be detail-oriented, people-focused, and flexible with frequent travel requirements. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting employees and organizational goals by managing day- to-day HR operations across multiple regions, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and benefits administration.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an on-site HR representative at various Enterprise Electrical offices and project sites.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Assist with mediating and resolving workplace conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Support onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain employee files and HR systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of performance review processes.
  • Support employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and inquiries.
  • Liaise with benefits providers to ensure accurate and timely service.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports for leadership; use data to recommend process improvements.
  • Coordinate and support employee training programs.
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend learning opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:

[Preferred] bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • [Preferred] HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • 5–10 years of experience in a generalist or similar HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.

•* Ability and willingness to travel 1–4 times per month, or as needed, to support multiple offices and project sites.*

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.65 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
