Human Resources (HR) Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in New York, New York. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support HR operations and administrative functions in a dynamic environment. The position may occasionally require weekend availability to assist with special events.

Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the HR department, including organizing files and maintaining accurate records.
• Assist with data entry and management using Microsoft Excel, including creating and updating spreadsheets.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings, events, and appointments as needed.
• Ensure smooth communication within the HR team and with other departments.
• Support various HR functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement activities.
• Handle general office tasks, including managing correspondence and maintaining supplies.
• Collaborate on projects to improve departmental processes and efficiency.
• Prepare reports and presentations for HR-related initiatives.
• Respond to employee inquiries and provide assistance with HR-related matters.
• Participate in planning and executing large-scale events or projects as required.
• Previous experience in Human Resources or administrative support roles.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with formulas and managing large datasets.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to occasionally work weekends for special events.
• Familiarity with general HR processes and procedures is a plus.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
