Import Executive

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import Executive to manage and oversee import operations for raw materials, machinery, and spare parts related to plastic manufacturing. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth coordination with international suppliers, compliance with regulatory requirements, and timely clearance of shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end import processes including order placement, shipment tracking, and delivery coordination
• Liaise with international suppliers for procurement of raw materials (PET resin, masterbatch, additives) and machinery parts
• Handle import documentation such as L/C, Form-E, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and GD filing
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, SROs, and import policies
• Coordinate with clearing agents, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for timely clearance
• Monitor shipment schedules and minimize demurrage/detention costs
• Maintain records of import transactions and prepare reports for management
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted material supply

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or relevant field
• 2–4 years of experience in import operations, preferably in the plastic or manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of import procedures, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and documentation handling
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with PET, HDPE, and plastic raw materials supply chain
• Knowledge of HS codes, duty structures, and SRO regulations
• Experience dealing with international vendors (China, UAE, Europe, etc.)
