Position- Incharge Nurse-Medical & Surgical Wards/ Pediatric ward

Requirement of Qualification and experience :

Education: GNM/ B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing

Registration: Valid registration with State Nursing Council.

Experience: Minimum 8 years and above of clinical experience, with at least 2–3 years as Team-leader.

Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification Preferred

The Ward In-Charge Nurse is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and supervision of nursing services in the assigned ward. The role ensures delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care, effective staff management, adherence to hospital policies, and compliance with NABH standards.

• Oversee and coordinate all nursing care activities in the ward to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Supervise ward nursing staff in medication administration, procedures, infection control, and use of medical equipment.
• Monitor patient conditions, assess nursing needs, and ensure timely communication and escalation to treating physicians.
• Prepare and manage duty rosters, ensuring adequate staffing and smooth shift handovers.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation, patient records, admissions, discharges, and incident reports.
• Ensure availability, proper maintenance, and optimal utilization of ward equipment, drugs, consumables, and linen.
• Implement and monitor infection prevention, patient safety measures, and compliance with hospital policies and NABH standards.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff performance; address training needs, grievances, and disciplinary issues.
• Coordinate with Nursing Superintendent, doctors, and multidisciplinary teams for efficient ward operations.
• Conduct induction and ongoing nursing education programs and participate in quality improvement and accreditation activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
