Duties

• Prepare and file individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns using advanced tax preparation software.
• Analyze financial documents, including W-2s, 1099s, and other tax forms, to ensure accurate reporting.
• Stay current with tax laws, regulations, and updates to provide compliant and optimized tax solutions.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax strategies, and answer questions.
• Assist clients with tax planning, deductions, credits, and other strategies to maximize their benefits.
• Maintain organized records of all tax documents, reports, and correspondence for audit readiness.
• Support client acquisition efforts through marketing initiatives and delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tax preparation, including individual and corporate tax return filing.
• Strong knowledge of tax law, compliance requirements, and relevant accounting standards.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software such as TurboTax, Drake Tax, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks and Sage for financial analysis and reporting.
• Excellent math skills combined with strong analysis abilities to interpret financial data accurately.
• Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients of varying backgrounds.
• Experience with bookkeeping, financial software, and technical accounting practices is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a proactive approach to client engagement.
