IP NOC Engineer (IP CORE Ops )

JOB FUNCTIONS

· Implementation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of IP infrastructure and network equipment (routers, switches, servers).

· Monitoring and resolving IP service issues, including Level 2 support and escalation as per defined procedures.

· Coordination with internal teams, customers, and carrier/service providers (national & international) for network-related matters.

· Documentation and record management of network infrastructure, configurations, backups, and company assets.

· Preventive, emergency maintenance and routine backups of network devices and servers.

· On-site support and availability, including travel to remote POPs/customer premises and 24×7 support when required.

· Resource optimization and knowledge sharing, ensuring efficient use of network resources and providing technical training to staff.

SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

· Hands-on experience in configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting routers, switches, servers, and IP services.

· Strong coordination skills with teams, customers, and service providers, including escalation and reporting.

· Experience in maintenance, documentation, backups, and 24×7 support with SLA compliance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field

· 2–4 years of hands-on experience in IP networking, NOC, or network operations/support roles

· CCNA (required or preferred), CCNP (preferred), and Linux certification such as RHCSA or equivalent (plus)
