IT Support Coordinator

Position Summary

The IT Support Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily IT support operations, ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues, and coordinating between end-users and the IT technical team. This role plays a key part in maintaining system reliability, improving support workflows, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all incoming IT support requests through ticketing systems.
  • Assign and prioritize support tickets to appropriate technical staff.
  • Monitor ticket progress to ensure timely resolution in line with SLAs.
  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to senior engineers or vendors when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of issues, resolutions, and system changes.
  • Assist in IT asset tracking, inventory control, and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of employees (device setup, access provisioning, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and company procedures.
  • Generate periodic reports on IT performance, recurring issues, and service improvements.
  • Coordinate with external service providers and vendors for maintenance and support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in IT support or service desk coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, networking basics, and common business applications.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic understanding of ITIL framework.
  • Experience in corporate or multi-branch IT environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
