Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant with a background in recruitment or staffing agencies and a working knowledge of local and international tax regulations. This role involves supporting day-to-day financial activities, assisting in tax compliance, and managing reconciliations. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of accounting in people-based businesses and brings hands-on experience with payroll, commissions, and tax documentation.
Responsibilities: :- General Accounting
- Record financial transactions, maintain ledgers, and support journal entries related to accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in monthly closing processes, accrual entries, and generating financial statements.
- Track consultant commissions and recruiter bonuses as per agency agreements.
- Tax & Compliance Support
- Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, etc.) in coordination with senior finance staff or tax advisors.
- Maintain updated records of tax payments and submissions.
- Assist in tax audits and ensure compliance with local tax laws and timelines.
- Reconciliations & Reporting
- Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, vendor/client accounts, and petty cash.
- Generate cash flow reports, expense tracking summaries, and reconciliations for payroll tax obligations.
- Payroll & Contractor Payments
- Support the payroll process, especially for contract/temporary staff common in recruitment firms.
- Ensure correct tax withholding and benefits deductions per labor and tax law.
- Process Improvement & Documentation
- Maintain organized records and ensure all financial files are audit-ready.
- Recommend process optimizations for invoicing, tax calculation, or cost tracking where applicable
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally within a recruitment agency, staffing firm, or professional services environment.
- Working knowledge of tax systems (e.g., VAT, WHT, corporate tax) and exposure to filing processes.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English are a MUST.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be quick learner and quick problem solver
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office

Work Setup::- Location: The Portal, Sodic West, El-Sheikh Zayed.
- Hybrid Model - 4 days from office, 1 day from home.
- Working Hours: 9AM-6PM - including one hour break.
- Fridays and Saturdays are off.
