Junior IT Assistant

Job Summary:
The Junior IT Assistant supports the IT department in maintaining computer systems, networks, and technical operations. The role involves troubleshooting basic IT issues, assisting users, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, POS systems, and peripherals
  • Assist in user account setup, email configuration, and access permissions
  • Monitor system performance and report issues to senior IT staff
  • Maintain IT inventory and documentation
  • Support data backup and basic security procedures
  • Assist with troubleshooting internet, Wi-Fi, and internal network issues
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and common IT hardware
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work under supervision and learn quickly
  • Prior experience in a similar role is an advantage but not mandatory
