Junior Procurement Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Procurement Officer to support our procurement team in sourcing quality products and services at competitive prices. The ideal candidate will assist in the procurement process, including supplier research, purchase order preparation, and maintaining procurement records to ensure compliance and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, and service.
• Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) and purchase orders (POs).
• Track and monitor order status, ensuring timely delivery and resolving supply issues.
• Maintain and update procurement records, databases, and documentation.
• Support in negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best value.
• Assist in maintaining relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with the finance and warehouse/logistics teams on invoice processing and goods receipt.
• Support the Procurement Officer or Manager in various tasks and procurement projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Basic understanding of contract terms and vendor management.
