We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior System Administrator to join our IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to grow their career in system administration, working closely with our Senior System Architect and gaining hands-on experience with a variety of technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior System Architect with the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure solutions.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user and computer accounts, group policies, and security groups.
- Administer and ensure the availability of file servers, including managing permissions, quotas, and data integrity.
- Apply and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security settings and standardize user environments.
- Perform routine maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Veeam backup and replication solutions.
- Assist with the administration and management of VMware vSphere environments, including virtual machine provisioning and resource allocation.
- Provide remote desktop protocol (RDP) support to end-users, troubleshooting connectivity and application issues.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and assist in implementing solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support, as needed.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience (1-2 years) in a similar IT support or system administration role.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory concepts and administration.
- Experience with file server management and permissions.
- Familiarity with Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and their application.
- Basic knowledge of Veeam backup solutions.
- Exposure to VMware virtualization technologies (vSphere, ESXi).
- Experience providing RDP support to end-users.
- Good knowledge of Linux commands and basic Linux system administration.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
