Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients (mise en place), cooking meals, and plating dishes as directed.
  • Kitchen Operations: Stocking pantry/stations, receiving and storing food, monitoring temperatures, and ensuring equipment is clean and working.
  • Cleaning & Sanitation: Washing dishes, cleaning equipment, wiping counters, and maintaining overall kitchen hygiene to required standards (HACCP, CDC).
  • Health & Safety: Adhering to food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures; reporting hazards.
  • Teamwork: Collaborating with other kitchen staff, covering for the Head Cook if needed, and supporting special functions.

  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Good physical stamina (lifting, standing).
  • Motivation to learn and follow instructions.
