Kitchen Technician - Commercial

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Kitchen Technician with hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring smooth operation of kitchen equipment across sites while complying with safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, ranges, grills, fryers, dishwashers, chillers, freezers, and exhaust systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform timely troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance as per schedule and manufacturer guidelines.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff, supervisors, and vendors for equipment servicing and replacements.
• Ensure all equipment complies with safety, electrical, gas, and hygiene regulations.
• Maintain service reports, maintenance logs, and spare parts records.
• Support commissioning and handover of new kitchen equipment installations.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide on-site technical support.
• Follow company SOPs, health & safety standards, and food safety regulations.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and gas systems.
• Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple service calls.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (preferred).
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in commercial kitchen equipment maintenance.
• Experience in hotels, restaurants, catering companies, or commercial kitchens is an advantage.

Other Requirements

• Willingness to work on shifts and attend emergency breakdowns.
• Valid driving license (not mandatory )
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
