lab Assistant (Food Testing)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing food sample testing and analysis according to standard methods.
• Collect, prepare, and label food samples for laboratory examination.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, pH meters, and spectrophotometers.
• Record and maintain accurate test results and laboratory data.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, ISO, and regulatory requirements.
• Support senior lab analysts and food technologists in research and quality checks.
• Maintain cleanliness, calibration, and proper functioning of lab instruments.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene protocols in the laboratory.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in a food testing or quality control lab (fresh graduates can apply).
• Basic knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work under supervision and in a team environment.
