Job Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys using total stations, GPS receivers, levels, and other surveying equipment.
- Collect and record accurate field data, including topographic features, boundary lines, elevations, and existing site conditions.
- Ensure precision, accuracy, and integrity of all collected survey data.
- Process and analyze field measurements using specialized surveying software.
- Prepare survey drawings, maps, plats, legal descriptions, and detailed technical reports.
- Perform area and volume calculations and other required geometric computations.
- Provide survey support for construction, engineering, and land development projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, planners, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys in compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure all survey work complies with applicable legal, regulatory, and project standards.
- Research and interpret land records, deeds, and legal documentation to support survey activities.
- Maintain, calibrate, and ensure proper functionality of surveying instruments and equipment.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Associate’s Degree/Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience as a Land Surveyor.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, methodologies, and field techniques.
- Proficiency with surveying software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or equivalent.
- Ability to read, interpret, and prepare maps, plats, and legal descriptions.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in specialized surveys (e.g., boundary, construction, or topographic) is considered an advantage.
