Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys using advanced instruments such as GPS, total stations, digital levels, and laser scanners.
- Collect, validate, and record field measurements with a high degree of accuracy, precision, and reliability.
- Process survey data to create digital terrain models, contour maps, cross-sections, and as-built drawings using specialized software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or equivalent).
- Perform geometric, trigonometric, and coordinate calculations, including areas, volumes, and alignments, to support civil and infrastructure projects.
- Provide accurate staking and setting out for roads, utilities, foundations, and structural works in compliance with project specifications.
- Research, analyze, and interpret legal records, land deeds, and boundary documentation to establish ownership and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare survey reports, plats, and documentation for submission to engineers, consultants, and authorities.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot surveying equipment to ensure continuous operational efficiency.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local regulations, codes, and industry standards during all survey-related activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, planners, and other stakeholders to ensure survey data aligns seamlessly with design and construction needs.
- Train and guide junior survey staff to ensure quality and consistency in survey operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- 4–7 years of proven experience in land surveying, preferably on infrastructure, roadworks, or high-rise construction projects (GCC experience desirable).
- Strong knowledge of surveying methodologies, geodetic principles, and construction layout techniques.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica Geo Office, or equivalent software.
- Ability to read, interpret, and prepare survey drawings, maps, and legal descriptions.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and spatial reasoning skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently in the field, handle multiple assignments, and deliver within strict timelines.
- Valid driving license is mandatory.
