Job Responsibilities:
- Perform topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using advanced surveying instruments such as GPS receivers, total stations, and digital levels.
- Collect, verify, and record precise field measurements to support engineering, construction, and land development projects.
- Prepare accurate survey data, including maps, drawings, cross-sections, and profiles, using AutoCAD Civil 3D or equivalent software.
- Conduct site stakeouts for buildings, roads, utilities, and other construction activities as per design drawings.
- Analyze and process survey data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and legal standards.
- Carry out computations for land boundaries, elevations, volumes, and alignments to support design and construction.
- Research land records, deeds, and historical maps to establish accurate property boundaries and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with project managers, civil engineers, and architects to integrate survey data into project designs.
- Ensure survey work aligns with relevant regulations, industry standards, and local authority requirements.
- Prepare detailed survey reports, legal descriptions, and technical documentation for submission and approvals.
- Regularly maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot surveying equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.
- Support project teams by providing timely updates and ensuring that survey activities are executed as per schedule.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma, Associate’s Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 3- 5 years of proven experience in land surveying, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, legal boundaries, and geospatial analysis.
- Proficiency with surveying software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or equivalent tools.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to interpret and prepare technical drawings, plats, and legal descriptions.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with specialized surveys such as road alignment, utility corridors, or infrastructure works is an added advantage.
