We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape / Hardscape Foreman to lead field crews in the installation of high-quality outdoor living projects. This role is responsible for managing daily jobsite operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in hardscape construction, and takes pride in delivering top-tier workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership & Jobsite Management
- Lead and supervise a crew of 2–6 team members
- Assign daily tasks and maintain production goals
- Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques
- Maintain a professional and positive jobsite culture
Project Execution
- Oversee installation of:
- Paver patios, walkways, and driveways
- Segmental retaining walls (SRW)
- Outdoor kitchens, fire pits, and living spaces
- Drainage systems and grading
- Artificial turf and landscape installations
- Read and interpret plans, layouts, and elevations
- Ensure proper base prep, compaction, and installation methods
Quality Control
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Ensure all work meets company and industry standards (ICPI/SRW best practices)
- Conduct final walkthroughs before project completion
Equipment & Materials
- Operate equipment such as:
- Skid steer
- Mini excavator
- Plate compactors
- Laser levels (Topcon or equivalent preferred)
- Track and manage materials on-site
- Prevent waste and ensure efficient use of resources
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards
Client Interaction
- Communicate professionally with clients on-site
- Provide updates and address questions when needed
- Represent the company brand with professionalism
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years experience in hardscape/landscape construction
- Proven leadership or crew lead experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Paver systems
- Retaining wall construction
- Base prep and compaction
- Ability to read plans and elevations
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred
- ICPI or NCMA/SRW certification
- Experience with laser grading systems (Topcon)
- CDL (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with irrigation or turf installation
