Summary:

We are seeking a Lead Business Intelligence Analyst that will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our data analytics strategy. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders to define and prioritize business requirements and ensure that analytical reporting solutions are developed to support our business strategy. This role will work closely with teams across the organization to integrate data from multiple systems, build scalable reporting, and deliver insights that support data-driven decision making. The Lead Business Intelligence Analyst will supervise an existing Data Analyst/Reporting Specialist role.

What you will do:

Translate business needs into data solutions, proactively solving problems beyond standard reporting requests
Develop visually appealing and easy-to-understand reports and Power BI dashboards tailored to the needs of the business stakeholders
Continuously monitor data quality and availability while working with engineering and IT teams to resolve data issues
Guide process documentation and redesign efforts to improve reporting workflows and data accessibility.
Manage access to data and dashboarding including administering Power BI row-level security
Integrate and model data from Accounting, HR and other internal systems to support cross-functional reporting
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
Supervise an existing data analyst/reporting specialist to execute data visualization projects
Support ad-hoc data analysis requests and reporting needs
Help establish a roadmap for expanding BI capabilities over time

Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Excel
Working experience with Power BI administration and security including row-level security
Experience working with multiple data sources and delivering actionable dashboards
5+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics roles
Excellent communication, both written and verbal
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Data Lakehouse architecture and data intelligence platforms
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
Remote or Chicago-based Preferred
