Organization

Airbus FHS provides customized services to its Customers (mainly Airlines) ranging from FHS-Component upto a TSP (Tailored Support Program) with the objective to provide airlines with significant inventory management and repair cost savings whilst supporting the improvement of their maintenance and engineering activities to allow an increased aircraft reliability and availability.

Role Purpose

This position is part of the FHS Component Operations India and South Asia team based in New Delhi, reporting locally to the Head of FHS Component Operations India and South Asia, and functionally to the Head of FHS Supply Chain Operations SMROS

The role is responsible for leading the Direct Shipment Operations (DSO and VDSO’s), in addition to operational task forces across abnormal supply chain situations, crisis management, and component lifecycle oversight in alignment with Global AFHS processes.

The role will drive Taskforces such as Abnormal Taskforce operations, VDSO (Virtual Direct Shipment officer), and Component Aging governance, ensuring seamless coordination between local and global stakeholders, and delivering operational excellence for AFHS- Local for Global.

Key Responsibilities

1. Taskforce Leader:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional operational taskforces (Abnormal, VDSO, Component Ageing).

  • Establish governance frameworks, track KPIs, and drive performance improvements.

  • Act as the escalation point for critical supply chain issues.

2. Abnormal Taskforce Operations

  • Resolve ERP abnormalities, irregular material flows, and urgent operational disruptions.

  • Develop corrective actions and preventive measures to ensure process stability.

  • Identification of Biz priority and Crisis component programwise

  • End to end follow up for open solution

  • Improvement plan for bottlenecks to ease crisis situation

3. VDSO (Virtual Direct Shipment Officer)

  • Oversee direct shipments of unserviceable parts from airline bases to repair stations.

  • Maintain aircraft configuration data integrity and alignment with Customer MIS.

  • Coordinate with logistics providers, repair stations, and customers to resolve issues.

4. Component Ageing Governance

  • Monitor LLP/component ageing and ensure documentation compliance.

  • Coordinate with repair teams , Quality and WHS stakeholders to reduce ageing backlogs.

5. Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Support global process implementation and tool rollouts.

  • Lead Practical Problem Solving (PPS) initiatives.

  • Contribute to standard operating procedure updates and training.




Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain (Aviation background preferred)

Experience:

  • 7-8 years in aviation logistics, MRO, or OEM environments.

  • ERP/SAP MM experience; MIS knowledge is a plus.

  • Exposure to vendor management, operational escalation, and customer-facing operations.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management.

  • Analytical, structured, and customer-focused.

  • Proficient in MS Office/G-Suite; advanced Excel preferred.

  • Able to work under pressure with multiple priorities.

  • Fluent in English
