Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners during their critical early childhood years. In this vital role, you will lead a dynamic classroom environment, fostering growth, curiosity, and confidence in toddlers. Your expertise will guide the development of engaging activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills. As a leader in early childhood education, you will collaborate with families and team members to create a warm, safe, and enriching space where children thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers’ needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Lead daily classroom activities that promote exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment.
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies that encourage independence and social skills.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or caregiver staff to ensure high-quality care and educational standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s developmental progress, attendance, and health information in compliance with licensing requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, specifically with toddlers.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Excellent classroom management skills combined with patience and nurturing qualities.
  • Ability to implement behavior management techniques that support positive social interactions.
  • Experience with classroom organization, lesson planning, and creating engaging learning environments.
