As we expand into the pharmaceutical sector, we are seeking an experienced Local Procurement Specialist to manage domestic sourcing of goods and services, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

Role Overview
The Local Procurement Specialist will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials and products from local suppliers, with a strong emphasis on pharmaceutical industry requirements. This position requires expertise in vendor management, market analysis, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and manage local suppliers for both nutrition and pharmaceutical product lines.
• Negotiate competitive pricing, favorable terms, and long-term supply agreements.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with DRAP regulations, GMP standards, and internal quality requirements.
• Monitor market trends, availability, and pricing to optimize procurement strategies.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and quality assurance teams to align purchasing with operational needs.
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and procurement reports.
• Maintain accurate supplier performance records and develop strong vendor relationships.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of local procurement experience, with at least 2 years in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Strong knowledge of local supplier networks and pharmaceutical industry procurement practices.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP procurement systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
