Logistics Coordinator

A Logistics Coordinator manages the movement, storage, and flow of goods within a supply chain, ensuring timely and efficient delivery by handling tasks like tracking shipments, coordinating with suppliers/carriers, managing inventory, resolving issues, and maintaining records using specialized software. They are crucial for keeping operations smooth, controlling costs, and satisfying customers by bridging communication between manufacturers, transporters, and clients. Core Responsibilities

  • Coordination: Arrange shipments, deliveries, and transportation routes.
  • Communication: Liaise with suppliers, carriers, warehouse teams, and customers.
  • Tracking & Monitoring: Monitor shipments, update inventory, and track performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Address delays, errors, and logistical challenges proactively.
  • Documentation: Prepare reports, manage purchase orders, and maintain accurate records.
  • Cost Control: Negotiate rates and optimize processes to reduce expenses.
