Maintenance cum Electrican

Electrical Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect electrical systems, transformers, panels, and circuit breakers to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns in machinery and building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Replace faulty electrical components such as switches, sockets, bulbs, starters, and ballasts.
• Maintain generators, UPS systems, motors, and other power backup systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Ensure proper grounding and earthing of electrical installations.
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns.
• Maintain records of electrical maintenance and repairs.

General Maintenance Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of building infrastructure and equipment.
• Carry out minor plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repair work as required.
• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
• Repair and maintain lighting systems, fans, air conditioners, and other utilities.
• Ensure proper functioning of water pumps, motors, and other facility equipment.
• Monitor and maintain maintenance tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas.
• Follow safety standards and company policies during all maintenance activities.
• Report major faults or equipment failures to the supervisor immediately.

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to electrical safety standards and company safety procedures.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety checks to prevent hazards.
