Electrical Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Inspect electrical systems, transformers, panels, and circuit breakers to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns in machinery and building systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Replace faulty electrical components such as switches, sockets, bulbs, starters, and ballasts.
- Maintain generators, UPS systems, motors, and other power backup systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Ensure proper grounding and earthing of electrical installations.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns.
- Maintain records of electrical maintenance and repairs.
General Maintenance Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of building infrastructure and equipment.
- Carry out minor plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repair work as required.
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
- Repair and maintain lighting systems, fans, air conditioners, and other utilities.
- Ensure proper functioning of water pumps, motors, and other facility equipment.
- Monitor and maintain maintenance tools and equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas.
- Follow safety standards and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Report major faults or equipment failures to the supervisor immediately.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to electrical safety standards and company safety procedures.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety checks to prevent hazards.
